"We put our daughters, aged 5 and 6, in Beyond Kung Fu Studios to teach them discipline, confidence and concentration. They have been attending classes for about one year now. I'm pleased to see a positive change in both my girls! They are more focused when it comes to schoolwork, their self-confidence has greatly improved and their over-all behavior has improved. I would greatly recommend teaching Kung Fu to kids."

Beyond Kung Fu training is based on the Shaolin Kung Fu principles of peace and wellness. The exercises synergize the mind, body and spirit. With practice, patience and consistency students will strengthen the mind and body. Beyond Kung Fu training also builds character, virtue, confidence and will-power.

"Kung Fu has changed my life for the better, not that I wasn't a good person before; it's just that with Kung Fu I've been able take the good things in my life and amplify them 10-fold. I'm no longer controlled by my emotions; I am the master of my emotions. Not only has Kung Fu taught me discipline and awareness. It has taught me to never give up, and that is the exact attitude that is needed to succeed in the dog-eat-dog world we live in."
Tim Campbell, Student, Brampton, Ontario

All students learn Traditional forms. Strength and Conditioning as well as flexibility are highly concentrated on throughout training.

Kung Fu is extremely useful for real-life self defense. Monks learned these techniques as a meditation in motion which also served to defend their lives while under attack. Life and death conflicts were probable in that era and a dedication to the training was important to survive.

Now we do not face the same life and death situations the monks faced but in our post industrial era we face a great many more threats to our health and wellness: Regardless of occupation, stress is at an all-time high. Many people are feeling anxious and out of control, instead of alert and relaxed.

Bullying in school and the workplace threaten self-esteem and can leave emotional scars that last a life-time. Our instant gratification society is tempting us into indulgences that are sapping our energy and causing 'new' diseases that threaten our lives. Drug, food, alcohol abuses are rampant in our society.

Techniques at Beyond Kung Fu are learned, understood, and applied toward the new challenges of our era. Discipline, focus, and control are inherent in the training and, over time, permeate into all areas of your life.

"Raja, my son has changed certain habits and personality qualities. I have noticed his over all assertion at home, school and amongst his relatives. At home, he is faster and neater doing chores. At school his work is improving, i.e. he does all of his homework-is not afraid to say I don't understand, help me. Raja has always been kind, considerate, and appreciable of the differences in people, but I have noticed the maturity and control in his character, especially when he is around the younger cousins. I can't wait to see what he is like in a year."
Janet Naipaul, Dance Instructor, mother

Students quickly understand that kung fu is not primarily a fighting art; it supports wellness in the body and focus and discipline in the mind which in turn promotes spiritual growth. Anybody can benefit from training at Beyond Kung fu no matter what age, gender or skill level. Through hard work and discipline you will become more and more proficient in the art.

Beyond Kung Fu teaches four main aspects of the Shaolin: Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Meditation.
